Bertotti Landscape Koi
Illustration (2008)
This was a promotional piece for mugs and other items that could be given out by the landscaping company. I created two different variations with koi, and went to some length researching the types of fish and patterns before drawing the design.

Lord David Cecil
Illustration (2009)
This pencil sketch was for an article in the "Silver Leaves Journal". It took some time to find photographs of David Cecil, and I drew upon several books and a few online sources. I carefully studied each, in order to capture his rather unique features. This illustration was quite acclaimed, with such comments as, "there's something of his presence that you've caught in this that's almost eerie. Brilliant!" (Thraille).

Kelmah
Illustration (2009)
These were illustrations as teaser art for a fantasy novel trilogy. There is one for each character in the series. Portrayed here are the Three Muses, James the Musician and Ian, a character that spends a good deal of time drawing his own shoe. The books were set in Mayan jungle temples and needed a sort of cartoonish style. I created these by drawing in ink, then scanning them in and using photoshop to add color.

London Blitz
Fine Art (2006-2007)
This started as an attempt to bring to life the description of a painting in a book, however, it quickly took on a life of its own.
The oil paintings are based on the WWII bombings of London and are all fairly large wall-size pieces. I displayed this one in the Sonoma-Marin Fair in 2007.

Santa Claus and the North Star
Illustration & Book Design (2008)
I created the illustrations for this children's book, which included multiple spot graphics and chapter title illustrations.
As a result, the author asked me to assist with the book layout as well.

The Pearl
Illustration (2005)
This was inspired by a new translation of the Gawain Poet's fourteenth century work Pearl. I researched the symbolism of the time including
colour meanings and what dot pattern was used for each son in a particular coat of arms.
